Job Summary
Coordinate and govern cross-plant customer quality strategy for Aftermarket, Wholesale, and Distributor channels across all battery plants in Mexico. Act as senior technical authority in advanced problem solving, aligning plants on containment, 8D discipline, root-cause elimination, and lessons learned deployment. Influence plant, commercial, warranty, and supply chain leadership to reduce claims and strengthen regional quality maturity. Ensure consistent, high-quality 8D responses and verified effectiveness of corrective actions while managing escalations and warranty exposure. Requires 10+ years in quality or manufacturing with advanced problem-solving expertise; based in Mexico with travel required across plants and customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electronic Engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Customer Quality or Operations, preferably in automotive manufacturing
- Strong experience with customer escalations, warranty / field claims, multi-site coordination and advanced problem solving
- Experience influencing senior plant and commercial stakeholders without direct reporting authority
- Battery manufacturing process knowledge preferred
- IATF 16949 and Quality Management System knowledge
- Automotive Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC
- 8D, Shainin / Red X or equivalent advanced problem-solving methods
- Warranty analytics, customer complaint management, containment and risk management
- English - 90% proficiency / business fluent required
- Based in Mexico
- Travel required across battery plants, distribution locations and customer sites as needed
- Availability to support urgent customer escalations or operational contingencies
