Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging from adolescence through geriatric using CT scanners to produce cross-section images for diagnosis. Generate sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation while utilizing the PACS and teleradiology system to transfer images correctly. Ensure departmental equipment and staffing meet accreditation requirements set forth by JCAHO, ACR, and state licensures, leading the accreditation process for the specific modality. Plan daily patient workloads to accommodate volume while covering vacations and sick days, ensuring adequate staffing is maintained throughout shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT)
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Venipuncture (IV) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Three years' CT technologist experience
- Advanced certification in the modality of CT
- Fluoroscopy license
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
