Job Summary
Assess, plan, and evaluate care for patients from adolescence through geriatric by utilizing CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-section images. Generate sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation while using PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images accurately. Plan daily patient workloads to accommodate staffing needs, covering vacations and sick days, and ensure departmental compliance with JCAHO, ACR, and state licensure requirements. Maintain accreditation processes for the specific modality and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT)
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Venipuncture (IV) certification
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Three years' CT technologist experience
- Advanced certification in the modality of CT
- Fluoroscopy license
- Venipuncture certification
