Job Summary
Sr Credit & Collections Specialist responsible for complex collection activities related to past due health insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims. Follows established guidelines, contacts groups to collect past due amounts, researches validity of past due/ disputed debt, generates demand letters, and prepares reports reflecting status of credit and collection activities for management review. Requires experience in health care insurance, medical billing, and Medicare/Anthem appeals recommended; position offered with hybrid/virtual work arrangements and periodic in-person onboarding as needed.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years of commercial debt collection experience
