Job Summary
Develop content strategy for website sections, new content, and optimizations to support marketing stakeholders. Create content briefs, conduct keyword and competitor research, and perform on-page SEO audits. Provide editorial oversight for articles and web pages while collaborating with outsourced services and freelance partners. Attend planning meetings to align strategy with business needs and timelines, then measure performance through monthly and quarterly reporting. Maintain working knowledge of industry tools, financial services trends, and brand voice consistency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- 3-6 years creating content strategy briefs for webpages
- 3-6 years' experience developing strategy and content for new webpages and web sections
- 2-5 years' experience advising others on content strategy and web content best practices, both for copy and layout
- 2-5 years' experience advising others and implementing on-page search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
- At least 2 years of professional writing experience
- Experience ensuring that the brand voice is presented consistently throughout content
- Strong editing skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work under the pressure of fast deadlines
- Experience with video or other multimedia content
- Must be able to provide a portfolio or samples of their content strategy plans, webpage briefs, and/or webpage work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Experience with Semrush & GA360
- Experience with Drupal CMS
- Knowledge of AP Style
