Job Summary
Senior-level counsel to Hunt Energy Company, overseeing the full lifecycle of legal matters related to power infrastructure. Responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing EPC agreements and related contracts; advising on planning, permitting, land leases/easements/site access; negotiating MSAs and vendor contracts; managing legal risk across construction timelines; supporting project finance transactions including construction financing, term loan facilities, and tax equity; coordinating with lenders and internal teams on loan documentation and closing; conducting due diligence for acquisitions and negotiating purchase and sale agreements; travel to conferences, partner meetings, and project sites. Requires Juris Doctor, Texas Bar admission (or eligibility), and 7+ years in energy/infrastructure/project finance law; experience with EPC/construction contracts, MSAs, O&M agreements, project finance, or M&A in energy; power generation/renewable energy assets preferred; hybrid work options available.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Admisssion to the Texas State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
- 7+ years of experience in energy, infrastructure, or project finance law
- Experience with EPC/construction contracts, MSA/vendor and O&M agreements, project finance transactions, or M&A in the energy sector
- Experience with power generation, transmission, or utility-scale renewable energy assets preferred
