Job Summary
Manage project cost controls across multiple commercial construction projects by developing forecasts, cost reports, and financial performance metrics. Monitor budgets, cost allocations, and change orders while analyzing trends to identify risks and opportunities for improvement. Coordinate with operations, estimating, and project management teams to support decision-making, evaluate schedule impacts, and track production performance for executive leadership. Develop and improve project controls processes, dashboards, and reporting tools to enhance forecasting accuracy. Assist in implementing best practices for project controls and financial reporting across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive project cost control experience within a commercial construction environment
- Primavera P6 experience
- Strong background in cost engineering, forecasting, reporting, labor forecasting, and resource planning
- Experience managing project costs across multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Extensive knowledge of budget management, cost tracking, change order management, and cost allocation
- Ability to analyze schedule impacts and coordinate with operations and project teams
- Experience developing project controls processes, dashboards, reporting tools, and forecasting systems
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
- Experience partnering with executive leadership, operations teams, project managers, and estimators
- Proficiency with construction technology platforms and reporting software
