Sr. Controls Engineer

Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated machinery and industrial processes. Responsibilities include collaborating with project stakeholders to develop control strategies, programming PLCs and HMIs, conducting testing and commissioning, troubleshooting technical issues, mentoring junior engineers, and adhering to regulatory standards. Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Controls Engineering, have at least 5 years of experience in the field, and demonstrate proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Controls Engineering or similar
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms) and HMI development
- Strong understanding of control system theory, including PID control, motion control, and feedback mechanisms
- Hands-on experience with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting of control systems
- Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Ability to travel up to 25% Domestic US and Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as NEC, NFPA, ANSI, UL508A
