Job Summary
The Senior Construction Inspector will represent the Client’s interests and ensure compliance with project contracts, specifications, and safety requirements. Key responsibilities include monitoring construction schedules, conducting inspections, preparing daily reports, and addressing compliance issues. The role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders. Candidates should have at least 15 years of experience in construction management, a high school diploma, and knowledge of construction regulations and inspection processes.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Civil Engineering related coursework/certifications
- 15+ years in the Construction field or Construction Management/Field Services
- Knowledge of & ability to interpret technical specifications, contract requirements, engineering drawings, & standard construction details
- Background in permit & capital project inspections on parks & playground, road rehabilitation & widenings, building facilities, water/wastewater improvements, & other various infrastructure construction
- Experience with monitoring & proper implementation of traffic control, Asphalt Concrete (AC) & Concrete roadways, sidewalk, curb & gutter, & underground utilities
- Demonstrate knowledge in construction inspection applications
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as CalOsha & Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
Desired Qualifications
- Caltrans or LA Metro experience
- APWA Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector (CPII) Certification
- Qualified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Practitioner (QSP) Certification
