Job Summary
Oversee and perform construction inspections for road and bridge projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations. Conduct material sampling and testing for concrete, earthwork, and asphalt pavement, while accurately recording daily forms and reviewing subordinate reports for completeness. Supervise onsite teams, evaluate staff performance, identify training needs, and resolve problems proactively to maintain scope, schedule, and budget adherence. Review jobsite safety daily, document issues immediately, and submit accurate time sheets and expense reports weekly. Availability includes day and/or night work to support the contractor's schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures
- Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
- Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently
- Work effectively as a team member
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass and maintain required certifications
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Background check
