Job Summary
Oversee and perform construction inspections for road and bridge projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations. Conduct material sampling and testing for concrete, earthwork, and asphalt pavement while accurately recording daily forms and reviewing subordinate inspector reports for completeness. Supervise onsite teams, evaluate staff performance, identify training needs, and resolve problems proactively to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget. Submit weekly time sheets, mileage, and expense reports on time. Review jobsite safety daily to document and resolve issues immediately, adhering to OSHA standards and client policies. Availability for day and/or night work to support the contractor's schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- Highschool/GED
- Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures
- Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
- Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently
- Work effectively as a team member
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass and maintain required certifications
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Background and motor vehicle checks
