Job Summary
Plan configuration management activities including identification, change control, status accounting, and audits. Maintain original configuration documentation for requirements, design, and software. Regulate change processes to incorporate only approved and validated updates. Track problems and changes in product documents while reporting current configuration status. Support audits to verify baseline requirements and software quality assurance processes. Manage configuration control for IT programs within the VA Financial Services Center. Maintain thorough records to ensure accurate product builds and updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Math, or Equivalent
- 7 years related experience
- experience and be able to develop, document, and implement detailed plans for ensuring configuration control for IT programs, projects, and tasks
- Must be able to identify and implement solutions to resolve issues
- Ability to maintain thorough records and documentation to ensure accurate product builds, part ordering and product and/or software updates
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Ability to maintain thorough records and documentation to ensure accurate product builds, part ordering and product and/or software updates
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail
- Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings
- Knowledge of military and veteran populations
