Job Summary
Layup flight and development composites hardware using carbon and fiberglass pre-pregs, honeycomb cores, and adhesives in controlled clean environments. Operate vacuum bagging films, laser projection systems, and manufacturing execution software to document work orders and data collections. Collaborate with production teams and manufacturing engineers to develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes. Uphold high standards regarding safety and shop cleanliness while fostering an inclusive environment. This 1st shift role runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM PT with a baseline 50-hour workweek.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of composites manufacturing experience in aerospace, automotive, or related industries
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with engineering and production
- Ability to set up and operate calibrated tools and precision measuring equipment
- Working experience with Manufacturing Execution System software to document manufacturing operations (work order labor charging, buyoffs, data collections, etc.)
- This is a 1st shift position with a standard schedule of 5:00AM-3:30PM PT, Monday through Friday
- Please note that this position is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50-hour workweek, which may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals
Desired Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Experience partnering with other business functions to successfully build flight hardware such as manufacturing engineering and quality
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations at remote or downstream work sites
