Job Summary
Sr. Components Product Manager leads the strategic, execution, and financial oversight of the BCT XACT product line for small spacecraft, partnering with a technical lead to drive the full product lifecycle from concept to post-delivery support. Responsibilities include shaping the product vision and roadmap, owning the business case and pricing strategies, coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, finance), managing budgets and IRAD efforts, maintaining customer relationships, monitoring KPIs (cost per unit, on-time delivery, first pass yield), handling product transitions and end-of-life planning, evaluating technologies with the product lead, refining customer needs, managing flight contracts with domestic and international customers, ensuring ethical standards and compliance, and mentoring junior PMs. May include personnel management responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 7-12 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Demonstrated Space hardware Program Manager experience
- Experience with all phases of the product life cycle (business development, concept formulation, requirements flow-down, manufacturing, integration and test, and post-delivery support)
- Excellent understanding of systems engineering principles and all elements of the product lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute without direct authority
- Excellent PMO and financial acumen (cost structures, risk and opportunities, return on investment)
- Experience supporting customer proposals/bids.
- Demonstrated soft skills to work with large/small and domestic/international customers within a rapidly changing environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with emphasis on rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities
- Demonstrated leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Good documentation and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Ability to speak Italian, Korean, Hindi, or Finnish is a plus.
