Job Summary
Sr Complex Billing Analyst role leading the billing operations for Large Commercial and Industrial accounts within a deregulated energy market. Based in Houston with commutable distance to the office, the Senior Analyst develops and executes billing strategies, oversees end-to-end invoicing, ensures ERCOT/PJM/NYISO/NEPOOL compliance, analyzes revenue performance, reduces DSO, manages contracts, resolves disputes, and drives process improvements and automation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related areas from an accredited four-year university OR minimum two years previous supervisor experience in Complex Billing Operations can substitute for a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years’ operations experience in back-office operations (i.e., customer set up, Complex billing, contract management, customer relations).
- Experience in the deregulated energy market, primarily ERCOT, PJM, NYISO and NEPOOL.
- Familiarity with complex billing structure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven experience managing revenue generation for customers in the commercial/industrial/retail energy markets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
