Job Summary

Develop and manage a new business opportunities pipeline while originating and assisting with the underwriting of commercial loans. Cultivate prospective members, evaluate financial needs, and recommend lending and deposit solutions to drive portfolio growth. Maintain strong credit quality within the loan portfolio by ensuring compliance with all applicable lending regulations, policies, and Federal requirements including the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC. Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to achieve growth objectives and promote credit union products. This role requires travel of up to 30% and non-traditional work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position preferred
  • 5+ years of similar or related Commercial Lending experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles of commercial lending and commercial banking laws
  • Advanced knowledge in credit underwriting skills, including business and individual financial statement analysis with special focus on liquidity, leverage, cash flow and risk grading
  • Advanced sales training experiences should include consultative selling skills
  • Advanced selling and negotiating skills with proven sales abilities
  • Must be able to manage a number of priorities simultaneously, establish and meet deadlines, coordinate activities with other departments, and perform job with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of computers and standard office technology, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with members, coworkers, and external partners
  • Communicates information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and listens attentively to understand questions or concerns
  • Maintains a courteous, cooperative, and service-oriented approach in a variety of work situations, including those involving differing perspectives or needs
  • Builds positive working relationships and contributes to a collaborative, inclusive, and member-focused environment
  • Travel of up to 30% required
  • Non-traditional work hours required. This can include but not limited to evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
