Job Summary
Senior-level in-house Commercial Counsel based in San Francisco, responsible for negotiating customer, vendor, and partner agreements, drafting and maintaining contract templates and playbooks, and designing scalable contracting processes with cross-functional teams. Will use AI tools to improve workflows and deal velocity, contribute on product development projects as needed, and support regional expansion initiatives. Reports to the Senior Director of Legal, Commercial, with a 3-day-per-week in-office requirement in San Francisco. Responsibilities include acting as the primary Legal point of contact for go-to-market and procurement deals, independently negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance contracting processes, and drafting/iterating templates and fallback positions. Required experience includes 10+ years of legal experience with 5+ years in-house at a technology company (ideally AI, SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS), strong knowledge of US privacy regulations, familiarity with AI and cloud-based services, and proven negotiation with enterprise customers and technology vendors. Bonus if you have experience with channel and reseller partnerships, and language skills.
