Job Summary
Senior-level commercial banking professional responsible for developing and retaining commercial business by meeting prospects and clients of moderate size within a designated region. Performs financial analyses to support credit decisions, participates in team credit decisions, and closes loans. Builds knowledge of commercial products and services, including loan policy, documentation, structuring, and regulatory requirements; grows a broader network of outside referral sources for new business. Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and bank policies; maintains BSA compliance; demonstrates strong communication, computer skills, accuracy, and the ability to work under high stress. Requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree; strong sales and relationship-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and within a team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in originating first and second mortgages, construction loans, home equity lines of credit and other portfolio-type products
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in business, finance or management preferred
- Strong consultative sales skills
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and produce results
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to handle frequent changes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the institution’s privacy policies
- Self-motivated/takes initiative
