SR. CNC Milling Machinist

Job Summary
Fabricate precision parts and components using multi-axis CNC milling centers, reading job drawings to develop and execute production plans. Set up jobs using pre-written G-code programs or create new programs in MasterCAM, performing G-code edits and loading tools while determining offsets. Conduct first-piece inspections to ensure requirements are met before operating machines to support production targets. Perform basic troubleshooting to resolve machine or process issues and maintain high-quality standards by accurately completing all required documentation. Keep work areas organized and compliant with safety standards. Requires at least five years of experience with Fanuc controls and mastery of shop measuring tools.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in CNC Milling
- Strong background in complex machine set ups
- Ability to program from scratch
- Ability to perform advanced G code editing
- Proficiency in using Fanuc based controls
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Ability to follow work instructions
- Mastery of shop measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Solid understanding of geometry
- Solid understanding of X Y Z coordinate systems
- Expert knowledge of milling techniques
- Expert knowledge of cutting tools
- Ability to optimize material removal
- Ability to optimize tool life
- High attention to detail
- Troubleshooting standards
