Job Summary
Obtain samples of concrete, soils, aggregates, and asphalt from work sites, then perform laboratory tests following established procedures. Record results, enter data into the computer, and submit reports while communicating with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate work. Maintain lab testing equipment through cleaning, repairs, and calibration, ensuring adherence to ASTM, FDOT, and AASHTO standards. Participate in lab accreditation and audits while following strict safety protocols. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and relevant ACI certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED
- 5+ years material testing (field or lab)
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to lift samples, at times up to 75+ pounds
- Pass drug and background screening tests
- ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1 OR ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician AND Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level 1
