Job Summary
Sr. or II-level Oncology Clinical Project Manager responsible for end-to-end lifecycle governance of global oncology trials, driving project strategy, timelines, scope, quality, and budget. Own customer relationships, lead cross-functional teams, manage risks and changes, forecast revenue and costs, and ensure adherence to ICH/GCP and SOPs while delivering data-driven, patient-centric trial solutions. Requires strong oncology experience, 5+ years in clinical research, 3+ years in PM within CRO/pharma, and ability to work in a matrix/virtual environment; Master’s degree or PMP preferred.
Required Qualifications
- University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in a related allied health profession (e.g., nursing, medical or laboratory technology)
- Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements
- Minimum of five (5+) years of relevant clinical research experience in a pharmaceutical company/CRO
- 3 years on clinical project management experience within a CRO or pharma
- Strong oncology experience
- Experience in Project Management of the End-to-End Clinical Trial Lifecycle or Project Management of large-scale Projects in other industries
- Working knowledge of ICH Guidelines and GCP including international regulatory requirements for the conduct of clinical development programs
- Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access, and Power Point)
- Experience managing projects in a matrix and virtual environment
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and to encourage team members to seek solutions independently
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and to utilize resources effectively
- Demonstrated ability to inspire effective teamwork and motivate staff within a matrix system
- Financial awareness and ability to actively utilize financial tracking systems
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior project team members
- Ability to negotiate and liaise with clients in a professional manner
- Ability to present to staff at all levels
- Master’s or other advanced degree is preferred
- PMP certification (preferred)
- Proven experience managing global clinical trials across multiple regions
