Job Summary
Sr. Clinical Development Engineer, Multiport Instruments (CDE) defines, develops, and validates the clinical function of new products within Intuitive’s multi-port robotic platforms. Collaborates with design engineers and clinicians to establish data-driven clinical requirements for high-quality patient outcomes; contributes to design reviews; documents clinical risks and mitigations; conducts pre-clinical testing; supports regulatory submissions; develops user manuals and training materials; supports clinical evaluation at customer sites; travels up to 25% internationally/domestically; emphasizes operating room clinical application of Intuitive’s products and knowledge of da Vinci surgical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 8+ years in medical device industry, OR 6 years with Master’s, OR 3 years with PhD; proven experience from design to launch; experience with surgeons in OR; fluent surgical terminology; mechanical aptitude; analytical skills; travel up to 25%.
