Job Summary
Sr. Client Manager, Employee Benefits at The Baldwin Group coordinates carrier relationships and leads the service team on large accounts, developing initial placement and renewal strategies. Responsibilities include marketing activities for large accounts, preparing risk maps for assigned clients, coordinating service delivery, completing special projects, and surfacing issues to leadership. The role requires strong insurance knowledge, the ability to analyze risk exposures and existing coverages, and the capacity to provide client-focused recommendations. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and five years of Account Management experience, with valid/obtainable insurance licenses for the states served. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and the ability to learn additional software is required. Some travel and a hybrid work arrangement are expected."
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in Account Management
- Licensed as required by the State Department of Insurance or willingness to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or working towards a professional insurance designation
- Strong knowledge of general insurance market conditions and carrier underwriting appetites
- Ability to analyze complex risk exposures and existing coverages to develop client recommendations
- Excellent client service and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and ability to learn insurance software programs
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written presentation skills
