Sr Civil / Utility Project Engineer

Job Summary
Lead civil engineering design for site development and redevelopment projects across energy, utilities, higher education, healthcare, and commercial markets. Develop comprehensive designs including plans, specifications, utility system layouts, site grading, and erosion control. Manage projects from initial scope and proposal through design, bidding, and construction administration, developing scopes, schedules, budgets, and bidding documents. Lead and support utility infrastructure projects involving wastewater, sewer, water supply, and main systems while collaborating with clients, permitting specialists, and project teams. Provide technical guidance, build strong client relationships, and support business development efforts. Requires 8+ years of experience, PE license preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS. Occasional overnight travel for client meetings and site visits.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- At minimum of 8 years of relevant civil and utility design engineering experience
- Significant experience designing and/or managing public and private utility infrastructure projects
- Strong civil/municipal engineering experience, including site improvements, streets, drainage, water, sewer, and other utility systems
- Experience with project management, design, construction administration, scheduling, cost estimating, plans, specifications, and bidding documents
- Experience preparing project proposals and managing client relationships
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel overnight occasionally for client meetings, team meetings, site visits, inspections, and other project needs
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
