Job Summary
Design traffic signals, prepare signing, striping, pavement marking plans, detours, and Maintenance of Traffic plans. Supervise design and development of roadwork plans for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects using Micro Station and Inroads. Assist in preparing Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for construction. Requires 7+ years of experience in roadway/highway design and traffic controls, familiarity with NYSDOT and PANYNJ standards, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Preferred to hold a Professional Engineer license in NY. Located in Long Island City, NY.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years of experience with design, production of plans, and coordination of traffic elements
- Fluency in Micro-Station
- Familiarity with NYSDOT and PANYNJ standards
- Familiarity with MUTCD and AASHTO guidelines
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Work experience in Highway/Civil Design with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and/or PANYNJ
- 7+ years of experience in roadway/highway design, geometric design, and traffic controls
- Familiarity with Highway Design Manual, NYSDOT Highway Standards and specs
- MicroStation experience
- Knowledge of Bentley In-Roads
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) in NY or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
