Sr. Civil Investigator

Senior Civil Investigator to support the Department of Justice (DOJ), United States Attorney’s Office in Newark, NJ. Responsibilities include initiating contacts and maintaining relationships, planning and conducting complex investigations related to health care fraud, obtaining information and evidence from interviews and records, analyzing financial and billing data, preparing clear factual reports both orally and in writing, coordinating with Assistant U.S. Attorneys, and assisting in settlement negotiations and trial preparation. REQUIRED: extensive knowledge of investigative principles and procedures, rules of evidence and constitutional rights, proficiency with Microsoft Office and investigative databases (Relativity, Everlaw), strong communication/interpersonal skills, U.S. citizenship, and a valid driver’s license. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years of related experience. EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, on-site in Newark, NJ. COMPENSATION: $115,000–$130,000 per year, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, retirement plan, life and disability insurance, FSA, PTO, and professional development.
