Job Summary
Sr. Chemist at IP Corporation responsible for developing unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins for fiber reinforced plastics. Leads projects to qualify products and transfer technology to manufacturing. Requires a BS/BA in chemistry or related field, 5+ years of industrial R&D, and travel up to 10%. Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in chemistry, polymer, or material science
- 5+ years of industrial R&D experience in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge and experience in project management, experimental design, problem-solving methodologies
- Ability to travel 10%
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and pass a Respirator Test
- Experience with polymer synthesis, characterization of polymers and composites, surface science
- Knowledge of unsaturated polyesters and vinyl esters or similar thermoset resins and coatings
- Demonstrated ability to direct the work of others to achieve project outcomes
