Job Summary
Sr. Sterile Processing Technician responsible for decontaminating, processing, and sterilizing surgical and hospital instruments and equipment; assemble instrument sets and trays; distribute patient care supplies; operate under minimal supervision; mentor/train staff and contribute to hiring/promotions; operates in a healthcare central sterile/OR environment with processes including instrument counts, log maintenance, and ensuring proper sterilization cycles and immediate-use sterilization as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Sterile Processing Technician certification: Required
- Two years' sterile processing experience: Preferred
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
