Job Summary
Handle in-house casualty claims and oversee third-party administrator files, resolving notices and coverage analysis for liability and damages. Evaluate claims to set reserves, negotiate settlements, and retain litigation counsel while communicating with policyholders, experts, and counsel. Participate in audits of TPA partners and prepare reports on significant claim developments for management. Support functional departments including marketing, risk management, and actuarial. Requires 5-8 years of experience in General Liability, Auto, and Premises Liability claims with an Adjuster's License or willingness to pursue licensure within six months.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of relevant experience with a degree of specialized and technical competence in the handling of General Liability/Auto claims and Premises Liability claims
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing the application of general liability policies, contracts, lease agreements, risk transfer opportunities etc
- Adjuster's License or willing to pursue licensure within six months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Professional Lines claims is a plus
