Job Summary
Senior CAD Designer responsible for producing product designs and detailed drawings from discussions and sketches using CAD tools. Create drawings with appropriate views, sections, and details; draft dimensioned drawings with complex details; verify drawings against input requirements; document revisions via engineering changes; design products to meet customer specifications; improve manufacturability and quality; produce 3D parametric models ( Creo, Inventor, Windchill preferred ); generate part, fabrication, and assembly drawings for manufacturing; maintain file lifecycles and revisions in PLM. Requires high school diploma and CAD-focused training plus several years of drafting/engineering experience; SAP experience is preferred; familiarity with GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma
- one-year advanced study in CAD drafting
- two years of specialized training
- 2-3 years minimum experience in drafting and engineering changes in product development environments
- 5-10 years of experience in designing mechanical components
