Job Summary
Prepare Land Development Plans, Zoning Plans, and Concept Plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, performing grading designs, surface modeling, and topographic analysis. Conduct detailed earthwork analyses, resolve discrepancies with teams, and coordinate files with outside agencies. Lead drawing quality, perform progressive plan checks and final-level QA/QC reviews, and enforce CAD standards and workflows. Mentor CAD users, establish technical guides, and drive project workflows to ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Land Development Design experience
- Knowledge of Civil 3D
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Understanding of CAD workflows and timelines
- Understanding of land development design, grading, utilities and construction documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field preferred, or six (6) or more years of advanced CAD experience, including leadership or technical oversight
- Ability to mentor and problem solve
- Possess good working knowledge within CAD drawings as related to a variety of issues
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task with respect to projects, CAD standards, etc. daily
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and resolve issues independently based on project/company standards
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining consistent workflow
- Willingness to assume increased responsibilities
- Willingness and ability to expand knowledge of CAD abilities through training
- Ability to work as a team player and interact well with others
- Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
