Sr. Buyer

Job Summary
Sr. Buyer leads procurement activities including negotiating with suppliers, managing the full procurement process from requisition to delivery, driving annual cost-savings initiatives, ensuring purchasing controls and policy compliance, reviewing MRP data, coordinating with internal stakeholders on demand and forecasting, and maintaining strong supplier relationships while applying continuous improvement and safety practices. Requires a BA/BS in a related field, 1-3 years of experience, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office; senior-level responsibilities imply leadership and independent judgment.
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS Degree in Operations Management, Production Planning, Inventory Management or other related business field
- 1-3 years work experience
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook
- Understands computerized inventory tracking and record keeping systems
- Demonstrates logical and creative problem-solving techniques
- Effectively communicates both verbal and written
- Must be a committed team player
- Must demonstrate the flexibility to adapt to constant change, interruptions, and repetition without losing efficiency or focus
- Requires ability to exercise independent judgment and action
