Job Summary
Senior Buyer responsible for procurement, supplier management, and strategic sourcing in a precision equipment manufacturing environment. Lead purchase orders in Epicor Kinetic, manage MRP outputs and planned orders, drive RFQs and supplier selection, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance and delivery, onboard and qualify suppliers, and collaborate cross-functionally with planning, engineering, production, and quality teams to support new product introductions and resolve material constraints while contributing to continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years buying/procurement experience in manufacturing
- Experience with Epicor Kinetic or similar ERP systems
- Strong understanding of MRP, supply planning, and inventory control
- Background in sourcing, supplier onboarding, and contract management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business systems
- APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred
- Experience in capital equipment or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
- Proven track record in cost reduction and sourcing initiatives
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Supplier relationship management expertise
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Proactive problem-solving mindset
