Job Summary
Sr Buyer at ABB oversees purchase orders aligned with requisitions and standard procedures, negotiates with main suppliers, analyzes bids to determine optimal value, monitors supplier performance, coaches Jr buyers, and participates in KPI/RCA reviews with cross-functional teams. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar, 5+ years of direct materials purchasing experience (metalmechanics and electrical), international supplier negotiations, RCA/Lean knowledge (preferred), and SAP proficiency; English fluency is required. The role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division and is onsite in San Luis Potosi.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Similar Engineering
- 5+ Years experience in Purchasing direct materials (Metalmechanics and electrical)
- Negotiation experience with international suppliers
- Knowledge in RCA or Lean tools (preferred)
- Advanced English
- SAP Knowledge
