Job Summary
Sr. Business Systems Analyst (Guidewire) based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Lead and coach team members, elicit and document technical requirements for end-to-end execution, drive requirements management for moderate to high complexity initiatives, ensure traceability and signoffs on requirements and design, and act as primary liaison between internal teams and vendors. Translate business needs into Guidewire-compatible requirements, define Guidewire configuration and integration requirements, and map data with API contracts. Strong coding awareness (Java, Gosu, SQL), API tooling, and experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter. Requires expertise in Excel, excellent written and verbal communication, and experience in an Agile environment with personal lines insurance knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of previous Business System Analyst experience
- 3-5 years previous Business Analyst experience
- Experience with insurance policy management systems or rating engines preferred
- Understanding of Agile methodology and previous experience working in an Agile environment preferred
- Strong understanding of programming languages – Java , Gosu , SQL scripting
- Data mapping experience of API request and response , define schema contracts
- Guidewire PolicyCenter / BillingCenter
- Cloud Certified professional
- Superior analytical abilities
- Excellent math skills; Mathematics or Actuarial Science degree would be an asset
- Excellent communication skills
