Job Summary
Senior BI Engineer role focusing on BI development including designing, building, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations; optimizing queries for complex analyses; driving advanced analytics with machine learning and AI; engaging stakeholders and training users for self-service analytics; data modeling and ETL collaboration with Data Engineers; monitoring performance, governance and automation opportunities; leadership and mentorship to team members; remote-first opportunity across Latin America (Brazil-centric hint) with emphasis on Power BI and SQL/DAX/Python/R skill sets and data governance practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or other relevant degree/related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Expert knowledge of reporting/data visualization tools (Power BI)
- Expert knowledge of one or more relevant languages (DAX, SQL, Python, R)
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and ETL best practices
- Experience with version control systems and best practices (Git, GitHub)
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts and their applications to business intelligence
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks
