Job Summary
Lead requirements discovery sessions and translate business needs into technical designs, KPIs, semantic definitions, and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI, Fabric, and Snowflake. Design and maintain governed semantic models, build enterprise data agents with AI services, and develop intuitive dashboards and scorecards. Manage priorities across multiple initiatives while communicating scope, risks, and delivery status to stakeholders. Monitor refreshes, pipelines, and model performance; troubleshoot issues and implement sustainable fixes. Mentor BI developers and analysts to expand modern BI engineering capabilities. Partner with governance teams on business glossary, metadata, lineage, and data quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 15+ years of experience developing business intelligence and analytics solutions, including substantial hands-on Power BI development experience
- Strong SQL and Python skills and experience working with relational databases, cloud data warehouses, and dimensional data models
- Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, monitoring, testing, and production support
- Experience with source control, deployment pipelines, environment promotion, and disciplined software development practices
- Ability to gather requirements, challenge assumptions constructively, and translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience in travel, hospitality, retail, financial services, or another consumer-facing industry
- Microsoft certifications related to Power BI, Fabric, SQL, Python, or analytics engineering
