Job Summary

Ensure investment applications provide complete, accurate, and timely information daily through reconciliation, data quality monitoring, and pricing integrity maintenance. Design data quality controls, manage vendor relationships, and lead system releases to support Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Investment Management decision-making. Own security master, reference, and market data processes, including consolidation of external sources and synchronization across production systems. Execute data integrity reporting, resolve complex exceptions with stakeholders, and document business requirements for new integrity checks. Mentor team members and act as subject matter expert for large projects, coordinating cross-department initiatives and managing stakeholder expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in investment and financial systems administration/implementation or investment data management
  • Post-secondary education in finance
  • Canadian Securities Course
  • Strong knowledge of investment management concepts and instruments, including marketable securities, derivatives, private placements and real estate
  • Highly analytical with strong consulting and problem-solving skills
  • persistence in addressing root causes
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of capital market space including front office, middle and back-office processes and the supporting technical applications
  • Ability to understand and navigate multi-system investment environments and how different user groups consume and rely on data
  • Proficiency with investment platforms and related tools (e.g., SimCorp Dimension, GoldenSource, SAP HANA, Snowflake, Bloomberg, FundApps and vendor-based front-office trading applications)
  • Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Precisely DQ+) and procedures, relational data concepts, and report development
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python
  • exposure to ETL and business intelligence/reporting tools
  • advanced Excel skills
  • Understanding of valuation and pricing methodologies across asset classes
  • Experience managing data vendors, including contract support, invoice reconciliation, and vendor negotiation/evaluation
  • Conceptual knowledge and experience with Master Data Management (MDM) technologies
  • Business analysis experience (e.g. requirements, process mapping, testing and stakeholder management)

Desired Qualifications

  • Progress towards or completion of professional designations (e.g. CFA)
  • Knowledge of accounting and performance reporting requirements
  • A.I. fundamentals especially in generative A.I. and applicability to process automation
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python, and exposure to ETL and business intelligence/reporting tools are strong assets
