Job Summary
Senior Boiler Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining boilers, pumps, water lines, and related systems in industrial settings. Must troubleshoot heating and fuel power boilers, work on-site in environments such as factories, power plants, campuses, hospitals, and commercial/residential properties, and handle on-call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays. Tasks include communicating with clients and dispatch, recording time/materials/equipment usage and generating invoices, maintaining organized workplaces and vehicles, and ensuring installations meet client expectations. Strong mechanical/electrical background and proficiency with PLCs, transformers, transmitters, and control wiring for water-tube and fire-tube boilers is required.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical background is a must
- Knowledge of PLCs, transformers, transmitters, and other controls
- Wire all controls and motors for water tube and firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment
- Familiarity with condensate tanks and deaerators
- Reads and understands wiring diagrams and schematics
- Able to trouble shoot, fire, and set combustion on all types of boilers
- Determine valve trim, regulator size and spring, oil gun length and size, and all other parts and accessories needed to fire any boiler
- Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and installing equipment, communicating with clients and dispatch to find the best solutions, keeping track of time, material, equipment, and logs on completed invoices
