Job Summary

Manage projects, coordinate activities, conduct biological studies, and oversee report writing for environmental services in New Mexico and Arizona. Prepare scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for proposals; schedule and coordinate field studies while managing staff and subconsultants. Review technical reports for accuracy, prepare diverse report types including NEPA documents, and track project financials to stay within assigned budgets. Interact with clients, resource agencies, and technical leads, leading meetings as needed and mentoring junior staff. Requires 8+ years of experience and knowledge of regional species and regulatory protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Botany, Wildlife Biology, or related environmental technical discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years experience as a Biologist
  • Knowledgeable in the identification of biological resources of New Mexico and Arizona
  • Knowledgeable on current species protocols, regulatory requirements, and processes
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Prior project management experience at a consulting firm or resource agency
  • Driving experience in offroad conditions, including potentially remote, rugged, and undeveloped terrain
  • Ability to conduct field work for long days, as needed
  • Physically fit to navigate potentially rugged conditions on foot while carrying supplies
