Job Summary

Collaborate cross-functionally with external pack suppliers, Rivian's Battery Product Development Team, Purchasing, Supplier Development, service, and vehicle general assembly. Act as a supporting role during supplier battery pack development and launch, then transition to the Design Lead for sustaining engineering activity in series production. Take technical coordination responsibility for managing supplier changes to ensure data-based alignment across SW, Reliability, and Validation. Provide technical support for supplier remanufacturing processes and drive external suppliers to analyze and resolve field service issues. Manage change implementation and issue resolution to improve vehicle production and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience in Battery/Automotive/Aerospace/related industries
  • bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Mechanical engineering experience
  • Previous experience with product launches, production schedules, and release engineering
  • experience with CAD design
  • experience with GD&T
  • experience with PLM interface
  • Strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of high voltage safety
  • Experience with issue tracking and collaboration tools (Jira, Trello, Gitlab, Asana, Confluence, etc.)

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency using CAN/Ethernet tools for debugging purposes
