Job Summary
Code, test, debug, implement, and document moderately complex programs using Unix, Linux, C, and SQL. Analyze, design, and write specifications for healthcare administration products, then evaluate existing systems to assist project managers in task assignment. Liaise with clients and management to validate requirements and resolve issues, while developing test plans and participating in QA activities such as coding reviews. Lead small sub-teams by designing system components and delegating responsibilities, and participate in production support activities requiring 24/7 availability during on-call rotation. Fully remote with 0-10% travel, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of applications development and batch programming experience using Unix, Linux, C and SQL (Oracle or other database)
- Experience with Claims, Pharmacy point of sale, and EDI
- Experience with the full software development life cycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for the design, creation, and testing of programs
- Ability to work effectively as an independent contributor and as leader on a team
- Participation in Production support activities which requires 24/7 availability during on-call rotation
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NCPDP, National Council for Prescription Drug Programs, is highly desired
