Job Summary
Senior BAS Technician leads building-automation projects from design through commissioning, focusing on Tridium Niagara (N4), Honeywell WEBS, Schneider, and JCI FX BAS. Responsibilities include programming graphics for HVAC equipment, integrating BAS with third-party systems, simulating and verifying sequences of operations, testing and commissioning low-voltage equipment, and providing commissioning verification and documentation. The role involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to recruitment and training, and ensuring project delivery with strong mechanical/HVAC understanding and extensive BAS installation experience. Requires 7+ years of related experience and certifications in Tridium Niagara AX – N4, along with relevant technologist/engineering credentials and multiple software-tool certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years related experience
- Certified in Tridium Niagara AX – N4
- Technician, diploma Technologist diploma or Engineering degree in a related technological field to BAS
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation
- Networking certification
- Certified in multiple Manufacturer Programming Software Tools
- Extensive knowledge of BAS system installations
- Extensive knowledge of multiple system integration strategies and applications
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment/mechanical components and how they relate to control strategies and theories
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor and train employees
