Job Summary
Sr Backend Engineer - AI at SigNoz (remote-first, India) will join the Nerve team to build the AI layer of SigNoz, including the Noz agent-teammate, MCP server, and tools for LLM/GenAI observability. You’ll work on agent orchestration, APIs to stream results, and long-running, secure backends with streaming over SSE. You’ll design data models and APIs, ship LLM features (agents, tool/calling, evals, context and prompt engineering), and contribute to distributed systems that are scalable and dependable. Ideal candidates have 5-8 years of production backend experience with Go and Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio), experience shipping LLM features, and strong collaboration and documentation skills. Remote-first, async-friendly culture.
Desired Qualifications
- Past experience in AI or platform teams of series B+ startups
- Experience in observability (monitoring / logging / tracing)
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and/or ClickHouse, Kafka, Kubernetes, etc.
- Loves open source, ideally with prior contributions to OSS projects (any size)
- You'll help define agent-native observability, a new category, not maintain a mature dashboard product.
- Work on a globally used open-source project that engineers actually love
