Job Summary
Seeking a Sr Avionics RF Test Engineer with over 5 years of experience in RF and Telemetry Avionics testing, design and integration for the Terran R launch vehicle. Responsibilities include developing test frameworks, collaborating with engineers, and creating test plans for avionics systems.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing frameworks and infrastructure to conduct qualification and acceptance testing of RF and Telemetry Avionics components on the Terran R launch vehicle
- 5+ years designing equipment to facilitate Avionics component testing: simulation circuits, auxiliary test equipment, test harnesses, mechanical fixtures and enclosures, and system validation tools
- Work with hardware design engineers and software engineers to derive test requirements and methodologies
- Create and maintain test plans and procedures for avionics systems that support regulatory and licensing activities with government and regulatory bodies such as the FCC, ITU, and USSF
- Integrate, commission, and operate test rack hardware and software to support component- and system-level functional testing
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with telemetry standards such as IRIG-106
- Experience designing active RF electronics such as PAs, LNAs, and/or radio transceivers
- Experience with a schematic capture & PCB design tool such as Altium Designer
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB for data acquisition/recording and analysis
- Familiarity with wire harness design
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as NX
