Job Summary
Sr. Avionic Installer is responsible for installing, modifying, and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems in an MRO environment with emphasis on general aviation and turboprop platforms, including Garmin avionics (G1000/G3000). Responsibilities include wiring, harness fabrication, termination and routing; installing radios, navigation systems, GPS, and displays; reading and interpreting engineering drawings and wiring diagrams; performing system testing, troubleshooting, and functional checks; ensuring FAA regulations and company standards are met; documenting work; and contributing to a safe, organized work area either independently or as part of a team. Requires strong experience with Garmin avionics, ability to read technical manuals, and a proactive approach to installations and problem-solving. Must provide own tools and be authorized to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 4+ years of avionics installation experience required
- Experience with GARMIN avionics systems required
- Experience in an MRO or aircraft modification environment preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Strong experience installing and troubleshooting avionics systems
- Experience with Garmin systems (G1000, G3000, or similar platforms)
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Experience with wire routing, termination, crimping, and harness fabrication
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems
- Ability to perform system testing and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to lift, stand, and work in various physical positions throughout the shift
