Sr. Aviation Planner

Job Summary
Sr. Aviation Planner leads development and coordination of Airport Master Plans, Master Plan Updates, and Airport Layout Plans; conducts feasibility studies, cost estimates, and prepares planning documents; reviews and coordinates with FAA, airlines, and tenants; manages project scopes, schedules, and budgets; assists in marketing efforts and securing new clients; supervises staff and coordinates with consultants; travels as needed; requires strong knowledge of airport planning principles, FAA regulations, environmental and land-use considerations, and proficient writing and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aviation planning, airport management, engineering, architecture, transportation, or related field
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience as an Aviation Planner
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD as a planning tool, required
- Experience in the use of Civil 3D as a planning tool, preferred
- Familiarity with GIS, preferred
- Experience using Transoft Solutions AviPLAN (PathPlanner and AeroTURN), preferred
- Familiarity with NEPA requirements, required
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint, required
- Familiarity with Photoshop, desirable
- AICP or Professional Engineer licensure, highly desired
- Strong technical writing skills
- Leadership capabilities to motivate and manage
- High level of professionalism and enthusiasm
- Valid drivers' license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record
