Job Summary
Senior Automotive Technician responsible for diagnosing vehicles and performing complex and heavy-duty repairs to MAP guidelines and dealership/manufacturer/company repair standards. Role includes explaining diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and store staff, recommending essential services, documenting recommendations in the customer file, adhering to safety procedures, and working with flexibility to cover weekends as needed. Required skills include diagnostic work with computerized equipment, ASE certifications in lieu of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a State Inspector license within 30 days where applicable. Education should include a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical school experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required
- ASE certifications in lieu of experience
- Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector license (in applicable locations) within 30 days of hire date
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred
