Job Summary
Lead AV installation and deployment projects at customer sites across Ontario, installing, configuring, testing, and commissioning video conferencing and audiovisual systems. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues while coordinating with project managers, customers, and internal teams throughout execution. Provide mentorship to junior technicians, deliver end-user training, and maintain project documentation ensuring compliance with company standards. This role requires frequent travel, on-site work in construction or office environments, and occasional evening or weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in AV installation, integration, or technical support
- Strong knowledge of commercial AV systems, including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and control systems
- Experience troubleshooting AV and video conferencing environments
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and structured cabling
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to customer sites
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Ability to lift and carry AV equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity required for cable termination, equipment installation, testing, and configuration
- Prolonged periods of computer use for programming, documentation, and troubleshooting
- Visual concentration required when reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications
- Auditory concentration required when testing and troubleshooting audio and conferencing systems
- Frequent travel to customer sites is required
- Occasional evening, early morning, or weekend work may be required to accommodate customer schedules and project timelines
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when dictated by site requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms is highly preferred
- AVIXA CTS, Microsoft Teams, or related certifications are considered an asset
