Job Summary
Senior Assistant Customer Service Coordinator serves as a liaison between customers, sales, and operations, managing quotes, pricing, item specifications/projects, orders, scheduling, inventory, and delivery to meet customer needs. The role involves collaborating with planning, production, and shipping teams, addressing customer inquiries, resolving routine quality issues with the Quality Manager, and producing reports for customers. Requires strong attention to detail, customer orientation, proactive communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with relevant systems (ERP/AS400/Kiwiplan/JD Edwards/Salesforce/EDI and customer portals) are expected. The position is full-time and onsite in Illinois, with a compensation range of $34,500 to $57,500 depending on role, level, and location, plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Customer service or related work experience in manufacturing environment or other industries required
- Basic knowledge of operational procedures and tools required
Desired Qualifications
- Associate/bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years manufacturing industry experience
- Customer service experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/systems (e.g., AS/400, Kiwiplan ESP/PCS/ULT/TSS, JD Edwards, Salesforce, EDI)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
